1. Introduction

Groke Pro (hereinafter Product or Groke Pro) is a tool for improving vessel crew situational awareness. It is based on multiple sensor inputs producing information that is combined and visualized on a simple and straightforward user interface. The standard sensor set includes Day camera, Thermal camera, AIS receiver, GNSS sensors and Inertial Motion sensor. There is also an option to connect the output of existing onboard radar into system, so that system can utilise ARPA detection output of the Radar.

The Machine Learning based Vision system can detect vessels and other floating objects from visual and thermal camera image. Using an advanced Sensor Fusion system these visual detections are merged with detections from AIS and optionally with Radar ARPA detections. System is equipped with connectivity features that enable software updates, remote maintenance and troubleshooting from Groke premises.

Groke Pro consists of following parts:

Sensor Unit

Sensor Unit Sensor Unit shall be installed outside to vessel deck to suitable location (see installation manual). It includes necessary sensors including Visual Camera, Thermal Camera, AIS Receiver, GNSS receivers and Inertial Motion Sensor (IMU)

Central Unit

Central Unit shall be installed indoors the vessel to suitable location (see installation manual). It includes necessary computing power to perform object detections and sensor fusion operations.
