17. Caution Zone Alarms

Figure: Caution Zone visualizes the defined area of caution (1)

Detections that are within the defined caution zone are colored yellow in different views (AR View detections, Map detections, Distance Line items, Minimap)

The Caution Zone range can be set to between 0.1 and 6.0 nautical miles.

The Caution Zone Slider (2) can be opened from the bottom left corner in the toolbar.

From the radial menu, the caution zone based alarms can be toggled on or off. If the caution zone alarms are enabled, all detected objects entering the defined caution zone will be marked with the yellow warning color.

If caution zone alarms are not enabled, the caution zone turns blue, and it acts only as a filter zone. AIS-only detections beyond the caution zone are not shown in AR view and visual-only detections are not shown on the map view. Fused detections are visualized in all cases. Toggling the caution zone alarms off allows the user to focus only on the new CPA based alarms.
